Most of the wedding venues, hotels, and or banquet facilities have experienced and professional staff that perform as on-site coordinators in addition to their regular duties. What you should know is that their main priority is to make sure that their venue is taken care of, the venue on-site coordinator will not be responsible in making sure your draping vendor came to set-up, however they will check to make sure that the vendors are ad-hearing to the guidelines that are required to maintain the integrity of their location and protect themselves from liability.

I have hired a caterer for my wedding and the catering Manager has been very helpful. Why should I hire a wedding Planner?

A caterer main priority is to oversee the details directly related to their own staff, setup, food and beverage. A caterer will not be responsible to oversee any other vendors duties, because it is not in their job description to confirm your vendors, prepare the timeline for your wedding day to make sure every vendor is running according to schedule, and most definitely they will not be your Master of Ceremony. In Addition, once the meal service has begun the catering managers typically leave!

I only need a ‘Day-of’ Coordinator – can you do that?

Yes, we can, however it is very important that you understand that a wedding is a coordinated event, which generally requires 30-50 hours which involves time lines, venue logistics, review all the vendor contracts for services, production schedules, final walk through of the venue and the onsite coordination of the rehearsal and day-of-coordination. We will not be responsible, held liable nor recommend any vendor which is not a “preferred vendor” for Weddings 411, Inc. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee that the vendor will provide adequate service, nor do we guarantee that the products or services being offered by the vendor(s) will be on-time. Do not be fooled by a coordinator offering to do “Day-of-Coordinating” for a minimal cost making you think you saved lots of money and you don’t need to worry! For your peace of mind, be advised that a coordinator cannot perform the duties of a day-of wedding coordinator without first meeting with your vendors to review the contracts,the services offered and explain to the vendors what is expected of them. Furthermore they cannot provide you with day-of coordination without preparing a time line and reviewing all the details with you “the bride” for final approval prior to the day-of your wedding. You wouldn’t want someone walking in and pretend to run the show and have no prior knowledge of your wedding or preparation details! Remember that cheaper isn’t always better! This is the most important day, the day you have been planning and dreaming for a long time and you should enjoy every minute of it “Worry Free”!
